We're so glad you're interested in Walton Band!

Upcoming Important Dates:

February/March: High School Band Class Registration takes place during class. Students interested in joining Walton Band should make sure they select band during course registration.

Spring: Walton Class Auditions (optional, but recommended) - More information, including audition requirements and timing, will be provided in class.

Spring: Walton Marching Band Spring Training / Test Drive - Students interested in learning more about marching band are invited to participate. Dates and times will be announced when available.

Late May: Marching Band Mini Camp - Dates and times will be announced when available.

July: Marching Band Camp - Students prepare for the upcoming season through rehearsals, instruction, and team-building activities. The detailed schedule will be posted on the Walton Band Calendar.

What is the difference between band and marching band?

Band is taken during the school day as an elective in your academic schedule. Marching Band is a co-curricular activity outside of the school day. You do not have to march to participate in band class, but students must be enrolled in band class to participate in marching band unless they are in Color Guard.

Walton Marching Raider Band is known for its outstanding performances, dedicated students, and supportive band community. Students have opportunities to perform at football games, competitions, community events, and special performances throughout the year.
